Agreed. In most cases, it makes sense to buy if you think that you are going to live in the area for 10+ years.

I think it totally depends on what your plans are. If you know that you will be moving and don’t want to have to deal with selling a home then rent. But, if you will settle for some time then buy. You’ve got to deal with repairs, insurance, etc. but that goes along with home ownership.

Right now I would say its a good time to buy renting is more expensive than owning.
